In the early 1990′s I worked in infection control of a major QLD public hospital. They knew then what the effects of their antibiotic therapy; and were fearfully discussing the rise of “super bugs” that we would not be able to treat. There is no excuse. Despite knowing of the presence and threat of these types of bacterial super bugs, THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CHANGE THEIR BEHAVIOUR NOR PREVENT OR SLOW THE DEVELOPMENT OF SAID ORGANISMS.
